Curlane Jones-Brown


Dr. Jones-Brown has an extensive track record as a psychiatrist, author and non-profit founder. Her specialties include ADHD and psychopharmacology.

Curlane Jones-Brown MD, affectionately known as Dr. Curly, is based in Buffalo, NY and provides telemedicine services to Therapy Center of New York’s clients. She has over 34 years of experience in the field of medicine. Dr. Curly was previously a staff psychiatrist at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center. She has also worked in both private practice and contract psychiatry with various facilities including the Veteran Affairs Medical Center and Collins Correctional Facility. Dr. Curly has devoted her career to maximizing the individual potential of her clients.

Dr. Curly founded the S.E.N.S.E.S. Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, in 2005 with her husband Dr. Lloyd Brown, MD. The organization provides a comprehensive tutoring and mentoring program for youth and young adults in the Western New York Area.

Among her numerous accomplishments, Dr. Curly is the author of two books: Survival Manual for African American Youth and Other At-Risk Youth and Dr. Curly’s S.E.N.S.E.S. Workbooks for Youth and Young Adults.
