Ms. Resciniti is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with two decades of experience providing therapy in both organizational and private-practice settings.
Based in upstate New York, Sophia Resciniti has two decades of experience as a Social Worker with multiple organizations including Family & Children's Society, Lourdes Hospital, Talkspace & BetterHelp. She is a former Lecturer and Director of Field Organization for SUNY Binghamton's Department of Social Work. She has deep experience providing counseling and support for bereavement, post-traumatic stress disorder, abusive relationships and anger management. Ms. Resciniti also has broad expertise working with teletherapy clients who have experienced anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and relationship issues. She has experience with community crisis response and intervention. Ms. Resciniti's skill set includes psychotherapy, crisis intervention, grief/bereavement counseling, trauma therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and psychoeducational services.
Ms. Resciniti provides a warm, non-judgmental and compassionate environment for her clients and utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach based on each client’s needs. Her therapeutic approaches include Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Existential therapies. She views each client as unique, and her goal is for clients to feel safe, heard and supported (the foundation of healthy therapeutic relationships).
